This Little Prayer of Mine

Anthony DeStefano does an excellent job of capturing child-like faith in his new book, “This Little Prayer of Mine.” The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, and the content is particularly appealing to this momma who desires for her children to grasp the concept of talking with their heavenly Father. One thing that I greatly appreciate about this wonderful book is the fact that it is a great conversation starter with my children. Each page presents a real life event in which one is able to look to God and rely on Him for strength, protection, guidance, unconditional love, or forgiveness. If you have young children in your life who you desire to see grow in their relationship with their heavenly Father, “This Little Prayer of Mine” is a must have!

And speaking of a must have...would you like your very own copy of "This Little Prayer of Mine"? Yes? Well...I am giving away a copy to one of you, my lovely readers. Just leave a comment on this post sharing some of your favorite children's books that point little one's to God. I'm always looking for great books to add to our library. You can also purchase "This Little Prayer of Mine" over at Random House.

Your last chance to enter the giveaway will be Friday midnight (EST), April 16, 2010. One winner will be randomly selected and announced right here Saturday, April 17, 2010.

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.
Don’t stop them!
For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs
to those who are like these children.”
Matthew 19:14, NLT

Books are a big thing in this family and I am always trying to find ones that have a great message for my kids. Kids absorb things like sponges and I would rather fill them with a wonderful Godly message, than anything else. Please add me to your draw for this great little book!!

Ooohhh...I just found your blog. Please enter my name. :)

We have 4 kids, 7 and under, so reading about God's truths can be challenging to these young minds. Two books that we love to read are: The Big Picture Story Bible by David Helm and The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. Both show that God has a plan (a big picture) to redeem a people for His glory and Jesus is the hero of the Bible. Though Abraham, King David, the prophets, Peter and Paul were great men of the Bible, they are just men. Jesus is who I want my kids to see when they read the new *and* old testament. :)

On a sidenote of books, I'm excited to purchase the ESV Children's Bible for our little reader.

Lord bless you!!

I was just introduced to this book a couple weeks ago, by the woman whose kids posed for the drawings. She brought it to a get together. I would love to win this book. I am always looking for books that help me teach the kids more about Jesus. By the way, I just found your blog and have subscribed to it. I really enjoy all of your messages.
